As an affiliate of a German based network of companies we benchmark ourselves with the best companies on offerings to our employees. In 2019 we were audited as belonging to the 100 ‘Top Employers in South Africa and we are fully committed to further develop our offerings. In order to balance our employees’ personal and professional lives we execute a flex-time policy and have since last year extended also the work-from-home policy.
We have developed a “Leadership Compass” that clearly defines the behaviors of our leaders. This framework strongly supports our company culture and is based on four company behaviors: Nurturing Top Performance, Creating Passion, Promoting Communication and Driving Strategic/Operational leadership.

We actively contribute to training and development of youth and upgrading school infrastructure. Currently we are funding a digital hub at Alex in cooperation with YES. We regard Corporate Social Responsibility as an obligation. In 2015 we established the Schauenburg Education Trust that provides bursaries to students.
