Schaulicht SmartLite Caplamp
Schauenburg Systems manufactures and supplies the Schaulicht SmartLite Caplamp, an innovative mining solution built to protect mining personnel in underground environments. In mining applications, these are commonly known as underground mining headlights, hard hats with built-in light, hard hat lamps, headlamps for hard hats, or mining caplamps.
Caplamps act as communication and coordination equipment that allows the wearer to communicate with other miners or as a tracking system to monitor the location of underground miners in case of emergencies.

Optional upgrades
We offer optional upgrades to our caplamps to enhance safety in mining applications. Upon purchase, they are only a light source attached to a miner’s hard hat, but the offered upgrades allow the caps to perform various smart functions. These upgrades refer to the incorporation of additional electronic components and technology into the caplamp. This may include the installation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, sensors, or miniaturised versions of electronic components, allowing the caplamp to serve multiple purposes without it being too heavy for the wearer.
